12/3 UPDATE: It seems that something (else?) actually happened to the server so I finally gave in and hooked up a keyboard and mouse. Turns out that they have implemented Carrier-grade NAT, which pevents even personal access from the outside (I've been dealing with some other personal issues too). I did some searching and found Cloudflare tunnels and hope to have things permanently set up today. If BAI Connect/Zentro Internet had ever responded to my support requests, it would have saved me so much grief.

You're probably wondering where my site is, and I should have created this sooner. I received a message that on Tuesday (11/25) Zentro (which recently took over BAI Connect which I had been using for my server since I moved to my current place at the end of June 2024) would "be performing critical maintenance on our equipment", and it appears that they started blocking incoming connections.

Given that Acceptable Use Policy - BAI Connect does prohibit running servers on their network, that may have been intentional. I sent a support request using their portal Wednesday night once I realized what was happening and have yet to get a response.

The good news is that the server may still be running and recording calls, see OpenMHz for Portland and Oregon State Radio Project systems.

While more expensive, Quantum Fiber's agreement does explicitly allow servers and I may switch to it. Or if someone knows a property owner with a closet or whatever that would be willing to host it as a public service that would be good too. It is a Dell desktop tower with mulitple USB devices+small antennas and just needs a power outlet, Internet access and able to receive connections on two ports. Or even better, get TriMet to provide an official site, which would be best since I don't get calls from all of the sites.

I have also copied my ideas here. Sorry I haven't copied the TransitMapper and SystemMapper stuff. Pantograph is somewhat of an alternative.
